Panic attack Symptoms




The panic attack (also called anxiety attack or panic attack) is a time (rarely more than 20 to 30 minutes) of anxiety, fear or discomfort accompanied by intense some of these physical Panic attack Symptoms or cognitive (ie related to the perceptions and thoughts):

- Palpitations, pounding heart or accelerated heart rate
- sweating
- Trembling or shaking
- Feelings of "breath" or smothering
- Sensation of strangulation
- Chest pain or discomfort
- Nausea or abdominal discomfort
- Feeling dizzy, unsteady, light-headedness or feeling faint
- Derealization (feelings of unreality) or depersonalization (being detached from oneself)
- Fear of losing control or going crazy
- Fear of dying
- Numbness or tingling
- Chills or hot flashes

Other Panic attack Symptoms of anxiety are often present: lump in the throat or dry throat, difficulty swallowing, stomach pain, muscle aches, weak legs, difficulty concentrating, feeling disoriented and confused, blurred vision

Symptoms of a panic attack are the result of hyperventilation. When a person is anxious, the body reacts to an acceleration of breathing also becomes more superficial. These symptoms are unpleasant and often disturbing. Often a person suffering from a panic attack to believe or risk having a heart attack or have a stroke. But the Panic attack Symptoms are not dangerous. To mitigate them, take time to breathe slowly and deeply.
